Tea Party Independent | Conservative | Constitutionalist

This past weekend - the great Tea Party convention happened and the predictions made in this space came to reality. One part of the of the Tea Party movement showed it's true color.

Instead of a tea party, the convention was nothing more than a teat party.  The Tea Party Nation, host of the convention, adopted their "First Principles",  announced the creation of political action committee help elect "tea party" candidates in select races and attempted to make being a disident a profit making operation.

Let's take minute to look at these "First Principles":

• fiscal responsibility
• upholding the constitution
• national security
• support the Republican National Committee platform, though there is no litmus or purity test
• join a Congressional Tea Party Caucus

This does not look like grassroots activism me. The media has used the word "astroturf" in description of the tea party movement. The Tea Party Nation has given proof to that concept.

Earlier I referenced teat party - the tea party is being obfuscated. First , the 912 movement support of only republican candidates. Followed by the Independence Causus requirement of GOP or Dem candidate to get their endosrement. Now Tea Party Nation.

Fortunately for the sake of the Grand Old Party, both the elephant and rhino have two teats. One for the party establishment and one for the obfuscated tea party movement.

The truly independent, constitituionalist, conservative candidate has chosen to be clear these allegiances. Kansas voters can be first in the nation to elect a non-major party obiligated United States Senator.

The candidate to vote for in Kansas is Joe Bellis. I am owned by no one and only answer to the citizens of Kansas.
